2 Hours of Pleasure

Meetings don't have to be extended with a fancy dinner and/or a night on the town to be memorable or enjoyable.  I had a meeting with a wonderful gentleman in a nice, clean, hotel suite. He was a perfect gentlemen. When he opened the door to his hotel to let me in, he welcomed me with a very sweet hug. We sat on the couch and enjoyed a nice conversation and non alcoholic drinks. He was handsome, sweet and very intelligent. The conversation opened my mind on some things.

As we got up to go to the other room, he handed me a gift bag and flowers. The gift bag had a beautiful candle in it, I still enjoy it today. It serves as a reminder of our wonderful evening together. The flowers were seasonally colored and looked beautiful in my home. The still had a sweet aroma to them when I got them home. The vase is beautiful, I'll use in in the future. I was flattered he thought to give me a sweet gift. He really owes me nothing and I'm sure I'm not necessarily the most important thing in his life. He still thought of me. I'm not materialistic or into name brands or similar nonsense. I like what I like. I do like candles and flowers!

This was a pretty uneventful evening by some people's standards, with the exception of making secret memories. I truly enjoyed myself and him. He sent me home with mental notes, he was so intriguing I wanted to research some things. I'm a bit of a nerd and I love learning. To some this may sound boring. To me this was a memorable evening. Dinners and events are nice however, an evening in with a wonderful human being is just as good to me. Being in the company of a liked-minded gentleman is total pleasure to me.

It doesn't have to be fancy to be classy, respectful and totally enjoyable. In today's society it can be hard to find someone who just wants to take a break from life and enjoy the little pleasures none of us get enough of. I'm looking forward to our next meeting, our next conversation and secret memories.

Namaste,
