Screening My Way

Screening is a necessary part of the hobby.  As a woman, I need to make sure any man I'm alone with is safe.  This can be sticky as screening often includes personal information. The comfort of the gentleman I'm screening needs to feel comfortable with me and trust that his info is going to be used for screening only...nothing else.  Personally, I delete and destroy all screening info given to me. After I screen, there is no reason to keep anyone's personal info.  How a provider handles personal info is just as important as my safety as mishandling is info could not only be a safety risk for him but one that could have a negative impact on his life. That's certainly not something we want to to do to anyone.

Some things that others use as screening tools are not accepted by me.  The number of reviews a gentleman has written is completely irrelevant to me. The ability to write a review does not tell me anyone is safe, it simply tells me they know how to write a review. I need to talk to the lady he met, not see his side of the story.  About 30% of the time the provider in the review did not see the gentleman who wrote the review. Some review websites have incentives to encourage reviews which produces fake reviews.  I've been offered to buy reviews, I report these idiots to the review sites. I've had gentlemen offer to write a good review in exchange for services.  That's a big fat NO. I've had ladies admit to buying their fake review when I inquire about a gentleman that wrote a review for them. There are even the less intelligent among us that have threatened ladies with bad reviews for not doing what they demanded. The review system is a great idea however, it's grossly abused and taken advantage of. The number of reviews a gentleman has written is not a safe way to screen anyone.

Showing me a driver's license tells me absolutely nothing I need to know. All it tells me is you can drive with is not a requirement to see me. I have on occasion asked for a driver's license to verify the gentleman is who he claims to be.  There's a lot of using other people's info to see providers going on. I also have no idea if the screening info given to me belongs to the gentleman showing up.  There's a lot using other people's screening info going on. I have asked for a driver's license to be sure the gentleman is who is claims to be.  For this I see the license when he arrives.  I ask no gentleman to send me their driver's license as this is too much of a risk on their part.

I also do not accept business cards.  Give me 15 minutes and I'll be a doctor, accountant, government official, anything can be printed on a card.  Fake business cards are common in the hobby.

I do not accept Facebook or other forms of social media.  Any website in which we create our own profile is not safe.  It's very, very, very common for a gentleman to have a "hobby" social media account in which he uses to see providers. Because these accounts are fake, it's not possible to screen anyone with them.  Social medial is a person's highlight reel, it's not reality.  Also, I'm not on social media so it's difficult for me to see other people's social media accounts.

So, what do I use for screening?  Everyone gets run through the black list.  It's my first line of defense. I use the black list with discernment as some providers use it inappropriately. If a guy is black listed once for something minor that isn't a safety issue but has some great references that are recent, I'll see him.  If a gentleman is blacklisted for ripping someone off, violence or repeated NCNS, I don't see him. On the flip side, I black list very little.  I don't have a lot of issues, hardly any.  When I do, their usually minor.  I do black list if I feel it's necessary.  I'm fortunate enough to not have many bad experiences, hardly any if truth be told. That's due to my screening.

I give gentlemen options, I accept RS2K, P411 or 2 recent provider references.  I do some occupation verification if I can find him online.  I never call his place of business.  I also verify providers before contacting them to be sure their currently active, legit and safe. If I can't verify the provider, I don't accept the reference. P411 is great because I can contact his OKs, it's easy and convenient.

Screening isn't fun for the gentlemen in the hobby or for me.  It can be time consuming and frustrating when others don't get back to me. Safety is needed for all in the hobby. Once we're past the screening, it's all fun from there!  I make it worth it for the gentlemen who bless me with their consideration. I have a deep appreciation and respect for them and I let it show through my service.

When it comes to screening, I don't just go through the motions, that would be a disrespect to the gentlemen wanting to see me as they took the time to gather their screening info and get it to me. I actually screen and screen well.  I've never been hurt, scared, followed home, raped or beat up...due to solid screening.

Have a blessed day,
